Tomorrow Saturday 18th May is Lord Mayor&#8217;s Day in Plymouth and we will be with the Plymouth LGBT Archive at the Roland Levinsky Building from 9.30am raising awareness of the current issues in the UK and across the globe. 		<description><![CDATA[On Saturday 4th May we set up a stall with a display from the Plymouth mobile LGBT Archive at Devonport Guildhall for the Mayday Festival organised by Plymouth Trades Council. There was a lot of interest in PRIDE in the PARK and the ongoing work of the Archive, the event provided an excellent opportunity to network with trade unions and progressive campaigning groups in the city. The new Pride in Plymouth banner on show at the Mayday Festival May4th 2013 In the evening we visited the Diamond Queen who had the amazing Miss DQ (star of Channel 4&#8242;s Seven Dwarves) on stage we conducted a quick bucket collection raising much needed funds for Pride in the Park (yet to be counted). 		<description><![CDATA[Today is the fourteenth anniversary of the nail bomb attack on the Admiral Duncan pub in Soho, central London. At 6.37pm on the 30th April 1999 a nail bomb left in a sports bag in Admiral Duncan pub was detonated killing three people, an unborn child and injuring over 80 more. When David Copeland set out to stir up fear and hatred across London by planting nail bombs in Brixton (17th April), Brick Lane (24th April) and Soho (30th April) – targeting the local black, Asian and gay communities, he hoped it would cause a race war leading to the election of the British National Party. Trade Unions have been instrumental in the fight for equality and continue to fight for human rights across the globe.
